Daikin Altherma air source heat pump product range finalist for the Green Business Awards 2009

Release type: News

Daikin Altherma air source heat pump product range has, after preliminary judging of the Green Business Awards2009, been shortlisted for the "Green Product" category. Daikin Altherma represents the most diverse range of air source heat pump solutions available for the domestic housing market in the UK. The range includes the Daikin Split and Monobloc (Low Temperature) systems as well as the Daikin Altherma HT (High Temperature), an industry first system which provides heating and hot water up to 80oC.

Air source heat pumps are a recognised renewable energy solution and the Daikin Altherma Split system is already one of the few air source heat pump systems with MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) accreditation. In addition, Daikin is the first manufacturer to receive the Eco-Label for heat pumps. The Eco-label recognises products on the top of their class. Daikin Altherma LT with underfloor heating application received the EU Eco-Label because of its high environmental performance.

Daikin Altherma nomination for the "Green Product" category awards is testament to Daikin's commitment to deliver high quality, energy efficient air to water heat pump systems. More importantly, it recognises the company's continuous technology innovation to meet the increasing energy efficiencies demanded by consumers and the changing needs in the market. The awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday 3rd November at the Grosvenor House, Park Lane, London, at the official Green Business Awards dinner.
